Teaching
I am the Creative Writing coordinator in the Département d’études anglaises at the Université de Montréal. Our small department is sandwiched between Département des littératures de langues françaises et Département des littératures comparées and it is an ideal teaching context for me. I give a winter graduate seminar that is a mix of theory, criticism, and writing workshop. We discuss contemporary groundbreaking tendencies in poetry, prose, and cross-genre writing. To see what we are talking about this term, check Ang 6896 hiver 2012 on the UdeM Études anglaises website. I have also taught or been the invited writer or resident writer at Concordia University, University of Alberta, University of California at San Diego, and Brown University (short-term residency).
